Description: Transition Town Newcastle is hosting a “Sensible Transport for Newcastle Forum” on Thursday evening 6-8pm, 24th September in the Banquet Room, City Hall.
The focus is the future sustainability of our city. It’s about active versus passive transport. It’s about our food supply, our economy and our environment. It’s about life after cheap oil.
The Forum will begin with a presentation by Elliot Fishman, Director of the Institute for Sensible Transport from Melbourne www.sensibletransport.org.au. A selected panel will give responses with a Q&A session to finish. We believe this will be an important contribution and provide information currently not represented in much of the current transport debate, along with positive solutions for the future of our city.
