The diary of future field days along with location maps are listed in every HOGS magazine. Non members are very welcome to come along to field days as a ‘try before you buy’ sort of experience.

We meet for BYO lunch at 12 noon before the field day really starts at 1pm sharp. There is usually a background session followed by a property tour and/or practical activity. At 3pm we stop for afternoon tea and a raffle before winding up.

Here are the first two field days for 2009:

February 14: Macquariedale Wineries at Rothbury. Spend a fabulous day looking through a biodynamic winery just before harvest.

March 14: The Greening Centre, March Street, Kotara. Come and find out how the centre helps to restore and revegetate urban bushland and open space areas in Newcastle.
