October field day has been rescheduled — now Saturday October 10th at Ash Island.
We will inspect the Kooragang community garden at Ash Island with lots of helpful hints and advice from Ern Hardes. See all the spring planting and get lots of ideas for your own garden. This is a day especially useful for members who are new to organic gardening. The day will be held rain or shine as we can use the shed in wet weather if necessary. As usual the day will start at 12.00 for lunch with the activities starting at 1.00. Please bring chairs and mugs, afternoon tea to share if possible as well as contributions for the raffle. If you have plants or garden diseases needing identification you are welcome to bring them along in a well sealed plastic bag provided you take them home with you at the end.
Directions: Take the bridge to Ash Island near McDonalds at Hexham and follow the signs towards the east.
