Late February Field Day - Yunung Community Garden
Time & Location
About the Event
Ready to get your hands dirty?
Yunung Community Garden has been dormant for the last year with volunteers kept away by the pandemic.
Join us as we help revitalise the garden with a mass planting of perennial vegetables and herbs, along with propagation of seeds and cuttings.
The garden plays host to a range of workshops and community group activities, as well as contributing fresh produce to the weekly food parcels distributed from Morisset Multi Purpose Centre.
Established in 2009, Yunung (pronounced yoo-noong) is the Awabakal word for turtle and the largest portion of the garden showcases local native bush tucker plants.
Join us on Saturday 27 February for a tour and working bee at Yunung Community Garden!
