Once a month join us to learn about growing vegetables & fruits, raising farm animals, and how to care for your soil. Meet the farmer, or tour a backyard growers garden. Make friends and exchange produce, ideas and smiles! Open to members and visitors.

Saturday February 13th

Spices in Jars

What do you get when you gather a group of gardeners?

A room full of workshops and wisdom!

Our February event features our very own members sharing the skills and secrets they've learnt from their years of studies and experience.

The afternoon includes three Wisdom Sessions where our speakers will share:

How to Design a Vegetable Garden

How to Sheet Mulch Effectively

How to Start and Troubleshoot a Worm Farm

Interspersed with these Wisdom Sessions are hands on mini workshops:

Taking Cuttings and Propagating Plants

How to Make Seed Raising Soil Mix

Making Healing Creams from Plants in your Garden

How to Ferment Food Including Sauerkraut and Kimchi

You'll be able to choose three of the four mini workshops and attend all three Wisdom Sessions throughout the afternoon. Please note that numbers at each mini workshop will be limited due to spacing requirements.

Our friends at Pura Vida Organics will have tastings of their delicious kombucha on the day and if your tastebuds find something they love, you'll be able to purchase it too.

Join us in Maitland on Saturday 13 February for this fun and informative event.
