NOVEMBER FIELD DAY
HOME PROPERTY OF WENDY ABEL

New time: lunch at 12.30pm

Saturday 14 November

Belmont

About

From rock quarry to food forest: come and see an amazing transformation in the suburb of Belmont.

When Wendy Abel and her family moved in almost four years ago, the land was bare. Now there's a multi-layered food forest, bee hives, chickens, vegie patch and bush kitchen.

Wendy wasn't always a gardener.

When one her children developed allergies, she ventured down the path of reading labels, eliminating ingredients and eating more home cooked organic food.

Gardening was the next natural step but when her suburban backyard became too small, Wendy spent some time searching for the perfect property. Then along came the former rock quarry site at Belmont.

Join us on Saturday 14 November for a tour of this amazing garden.
