AUGUST FIELD DAY:
FEEDBACK ORGANIC URBAN FARM

10am Saturday August 19th: 73 Main Rd, Cardiff

About: We are a very small family run farm on the NSW Central Coast. We produce grass fed & grass finished beef, pastured eggs, pastured chicken, pastured muscovy duck, vegetables, garlic, as well as honey. Between farming & family, life is very full!! We move all of our animals onto fresh pasture on a regular basis, allowing the animals to express their natural behaviours. We farm without the use of chemicals, our main aim is to model sustainable farming, always working to improve the health of the soil & the pastures. We believe that healthy soils = healthy pastures = healthy animals.

Lunch & afternoon tea: The Malls family will have home made soups with freshly baked bread for purchase for lunch & slices/cakes & cappuccinos for afternoon tea. Please bring cash and offer your support as thanks for their welcome. You are also welcome to bring your own as usual.

Directions: Mobile phone service can be patchy once off the Freeway. Telstra mobile service is most reliable. Directions to Tony & Virginia’s farm from the north: Take the Peats Ridge/Somersby exit fom the freeway (M1) After the Wyong/Tuggerah exit, comes the Ourimbah exit & then the Peats Ridge/Somersby exit. You are now on Peats Ridge Road. Follow for about 10 mins. Turn right onto George Downes Dr. (If you come to Peats Ridge shops/service station you have missed the turn by 100m). Follow George Downes drive for 11.28kms (about 10 mins). You will pass through Central Mangrove (4 way intersection). Kulnura – As you come into Kulnura there will be a school on the left & a corner store/petrol station a bit further up on the right. Our farm is 2 driveways (farms) on the right after the corner store. If you come to another Café/Petrol Station on the right (Jerry’s take away), you have gone 2 driveways too far. Our driveway can be tricky to see as it is on a bend & is quite small.
