Time & Location

Saturday 14 October, 10:00 am – 2:00 pm Booragul NSW

About the Event Join us in celebrating our fantastic field days that we have enjoyed this year and in welcoming our new committee for 2024. We are lucky to have Yvonne Curtis join us on the day to demonstrate her method of making Kombucha. Yvonne previously owned Pura Vida Organics and has a wealth of knowledge in Kombucha making. Everyone who joins us on the day will take home their own kit to continue making at home. Our committee member Tracey will demonstrate fermenting Kimchi and tomato bombs. Everyone will have the opportunity to make their own Kimchi to take home and enjoy.

If you feel you would like to join our fantastic committee, we have lots of small jobs that you may wish to give us a helping hand with, to enable HOGS to continue to be the great society it is.

ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF COUNTRY

We acknowledge the tradition custodians of the lands of the Hunter region, the Awabakal, Worimi and Wonnarua peoples. We pay our respects to their elders past and present.

We acknowledge their deep contributions to sustainable agriculture and land stewardship. They were our first farmers and caretakers of country - the soils, rivers and seas.

We are gardeners, farmers, and first time producers of our own backyard fodder, who meet monthly to learn about living and growing sustainably in the Hunter Valley and surrounds.
