About Wallis Creek Watergardens

Wallis creek watergardens is a specialist nursery that grows water plants like water lilies

and lotus. We have an extensive collection on display and for retail sale to the public.

In addition we have a large open garden and three different plant collectors on site that

keep their plant collections on display in the gardens and sometimes for sale in the

nursery.

We have some of the largest collections of water lilies, lotus and Sarracenia on display to

the public in Australia.

The gardens are now over 45 years old. Originally the site was a failed cattle paddock with two failing trees.

The nursery and gardens are probably about 5-6 acres.

ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF COUNTRY

We acknowledge the tradition custodians of the lands of the Hunter region, the Awabakal, Worimi and Wonnarua peoples. We pay our respects to their elders past and present.

We acknowledge their deep contributions to sustainable agriculture and land stewardship. They were our first farmers and caretakers of country - the soils, rivers and seas.

We are gardeners, farmers, and first time producers of our own backyard fodder, who meet monthly to learn about living and growing sustainably in the Hunter Valley and surrounds.
